Project Overview

This project delivered a new branch facility for Intercontinental Bank at Lagere‑Ife, Osun State, with our team leading the structural engineering scope alongside Constraad Design Intl. (Architects), Dapo Onaeko & Associates, Azton Associates (Mech. & Elect.), and HOS Consulting. The works were completed in June 2009 within the approved contract value of N66.265m.

Our scope covered structural design and detailing of foundations, reinforced concrete frames, suspended slabs, stair/lift cores, and roof elements, as well as site supervision to ensure build quality, safety, and conformance with design intent. We coordinated closely with the architectural layouts and M&E services to optimise spans, service routes and floor-to-floor heights while maintaining functional banking hall clearances.

• Buildability-led detailing to accelerate reinforcement placement and shuttering cycles.
• Quality control checkpoints for concrete works, rebar placement, and formwork stability.

The result is a robust, durable structure that supports banking operations efficiently and meets the client’s performance, safety, and lifecycle requirements.
